Connecting with Clean Access

Mac User: Currently Mac user are not required to run clean access, simply open your browser and login when prompted to gain access to the internet.

Windows Users: If you are running a Microsoft Windows operating system(Vista, XP, 2000), you must download, install, and run Clean Access to access the internet.

· Clean Access requires that your computer’s Windows update is current.

· Clean Access requires that your computer has a validated Anti-Virus Program.

A list of current validated Anti-Virus programs can be found here.

If either of these requirements is not fulfilled you will only have temporary access to the internet.

Make sure that you either have your computer plugged in to a wired connection or connected to a wireless network.

Open an internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox)

The page will redirect to a Boise State authentication page, where you will be prompted to login using your Broncoweb username and password.


Once you have logged in you will be ask to download the Clean Access program. You will only have to do this once.


Clean Access installation will begin. Follow through the instruction as prompted until installation is complete.

Once installation is complete open clean access by double clicking the desktop icon or go to Start> All Programs> Cisco Systems> Cisco Clean Access> Clean Access Agent.

The login screen will open.


In the User Name box you need to type in your BroncoWeb username, the password is also the password that you use for your BroncowWeb login.

Then click the login button.

Clean Access will begin to check that you have the required Windows updates and Anti-virus programs to gain access to the Boise State network.

Once you have gained access to the network click the Ok button and surf the web!


*If you are not shown this screen and instead see a screen with temporary access you need make sure your Windows updates are current and that Anti-Virus program is current, Click here to see a supported list.
